Audi Tradition Parts If Quick!

Firstly, I hope I am not treading on any other members kind assistance but if any member wants something from AT possibly a bit quicker than the next organised one, I might be able to assist. Basically I can piggyback of another Forum I am a member of. There are conditions.

1. I don't really want to be involved with either large bulky parts or hugely expensive ones. So if there is something on AT that fits this requirement read on! I am thinking more in terms of clips, seals, gaskets etc which Audi in their wisdom withdrew to AT making them cost prohibitive. After all, who else do they think is going to buy this stuff. They should just donate it to us!
2. You need to check the part number, price, and that its shown as in stock on the AT web site. You will then need to tell me what you require and I'll decide whether I can facilitate you.
3. The price shown in euro's is going to be close to what you will pay in pounds as there is a 10% handling and delivery charge to the UK to be factored in. This is spread amongst all those that order to be fair. I doubt whether its going to cost a lot more to get it to me so I will absorb that. You will then be expected to pay whatever it costs from me to you.
4. I cannot give a definite lead time as its dependent on another persons goodwill and AT themselves. All I can say is the placement of the order is probably within the next week or so, therefore a quick trawl of the web site is advisable! What else is there to do on a Bank Holiday Weekend anyway!
5. As effectively I am giving my word to another person, I expect the same honourable thing in return. If you say you want something and I order it, I expect payment once it lands. I guess I could list the parts on here in the event of non payment but I would rather avoid that embarrassment. I hope members will understand condition 1!
6. As I am a Caveman, my knuckle dragging only extends to Paypal. So I can only accept payments by the Friends and Families method. I have availed myself of other members services on here by this method other than Craig (Sorry Craig!), so that's my only concession to modernity!

So its not really going to help if you are in desperate need, but if you either lacked the foresight to obtain the parts necessary for a job beforehand (like me!) or there is just something you would have bought were it not for the restrictions imposed by AT, then it might help!

For the mods. If this in in the wrong place or inappropriate then please take whatever action is necessary.

Great offer Robin!

(I hope the top caps fitted the bill!)

I’m happy to be a ‘central collection point’ if required but guessing as you’re handling only small items then postage is fine for many.

Hi Craig!

Yes indeed. Someone had broken the other side so it was fortunate to have replacements on hand.

Typically the web site went down for maintenance over the weekend but it appears to be back up. I haven't heard about the deadline but will update when I find out.

Frustratingly there does not appear to be a great deal of stuff on AT that jumps out to me for the A2 that's worth bagging so we have some stock here to distribute! Having said that I can see something that people crave but the logistics of distributing them would be problematic even if I could, with the goodwill of my contact, organise the delivery to the UK. Certainly, a regional distribution might be possible but not sure, due to the time constraints, whether its worth attempting this time.

So realistically I can only manage what I have outlined above for the time being!

Hello there MrRe, could you get me 2 x numberplate lights, part No. 8Z0943021, and the AT price is Eur, 24.01.

If you can, let me know the process you require regarding payment and exchange of details.

Thanks, John.

Well the process is that outdated concept - trust! I give my word to someone that I want something and they trust I will honour that commitment.
They don't ask for anything upfront and payment is not required until they are ready to be dispatched in the UK.
There is a bit of radio silence at the moment so I cannot confirm whether I am being successful adding to the list. I'll keep trying!
So you will either be pleasantly surprised or disappointed. I'll update which when I know.

May be worth noting (and I stand to be corrected) but that part number is for the LHD part, I.e it will fit although in an upside-down position.

I do believe that LLL re-manufactured parts were the last to offer these in RHD brand-new…

Thanks. Yes I know it's the LHD switch and happy with that. Refuse to pay the profiteering prices and just want a working switch 😁

Right!
Had an update about the cut off although its still a bit vague! It will be next week!
He is happy for me to keep adding stuff so lets say Saturday 31/08/24 will be the latest date to place orders with any confidence!

I just read your post - I have a 2002 Audi A2 and have lost the wheel cap off my front wheel - can you help or point me in the right direction

You are going to be better off asking for help to identify your wheel and therefore your cap in another perhaps more appropriate thread. There are several variants and no one is going to take a wild guess. There is a wheel guide in one of the sections that might help I think.
Then if you can ID the part and its available through AT then I can try and help.

Hi can I also please add

2x LH fuel flap switch
8Z1959833

1x Alarm button
8L4962109A

Also want 4x of the brass injector cups for my 1.6fsi but need to find the part number and if available on AT

Will update once found

Thank you
Let me know how you want paying etc
I got an alarm switch off e bay quoting the correct part number but the switch received has the correct number but is different in design!

I have one switch already for the project car, just noticed daily rides switch is broken - maybe it has been for a while. Who knows

This was bought from Prestige Parts, seems correct and matches AT Part Nr

As others have said maybe only option is upside down. But would rather have a non broken switch that hopefully lasts the car out
