Audi Tradition Parts If Quick!

As promised an update! Good news and bad news I am afraid!
Order went in today, that's the good news. The bad news that the fuel flap switches, although you can add them to the basket are subsequently shown as none are available. Whether this is some glitch in respect of the UK ordering a LHD part I am not sure. There is still time to see if if possible to obtain them via the buy organised by Rickmeister. If he can obtain them then its blatant discrimination!
Sorry Folks.

Oh well, thanks for trying :(

Anyone git a secondhand switch or know where we can source a LHD one?

Just a thought, is it possible to use the alarm switch as a substitute to get it working?

I put the number into AT and it is OOS. I also did a general search and nothing came up on German Ebay or the other motor factors. They list it but when you click through, all OOS / NLA.

Thanks for trying @Rickmeister . I did exactly the same and drew a blank. Can you use the alarm switch?

I think this is a long running conundrum. Various ideas have been mooted, use an alarm switch, get a LHD one, 3d printing......

I really don't know what the answer is here except a small but of strung through the slats of the panel in the boot!

The Mk1 TT buttons are also very similar. The TT fuel release has an extra contact, which is not required on the A2. Physically, they mount on a flat surface, not the curve of the A2 though.
They are loads on eBay and FB, lots of Mk1s being broken.
Mac.

Thanks

Jon, I'm thinking that it isn't an order managed by me... correct?

No, you’re good

I jumped on MrRe’s kind offer and was after some brass FSI injector cups and 3x buttons like everyone else (1 alarm & 2 fuel)

I have heard that distribution was to begin in the last week of Sept but where my order is in the scheme of things is unknown.
Once I get asked for payment I'll let everyone know. I'll get them out asap once they have arrived.
Will need to try and convert from euro to pounds but the exchange rate is better than the last time I ordered!
