Hello,

Does anyone know if the 17" TT mk2 wheels in the photo attached will fit an a2 already fitted with 17" wheels?

The tyres on these are 205 50 R17

Thank you

Lee

205 50 17 is too tall,

205 40 17 is the standard size (you can get away with 205 45 17 (I believe)

I also believe that there are a few members that use the 17" TT wheels so you should be fine, but wait until someone confirms it for sure!

Tt mk2 are 5x112 not 5x100 PCD are they not? So you will need adapters. And adapters will mess up the ET (offset)

If you want a more modern Audi wheel then you can still look at the current A1 range as they are 5x100 and et sizes seem similar to A2 fitments. Just be aware that by the time you get to 17" the widths are usually 7.5 j meaning a 215/40 17 tyre is a better fit with less stretch. This is the same size that A1s come with so you may get a set of wheels and tyres to bolt straight on.

Sorry not visited the forum much of late albeit with brief looks now and again, work commitments and the like, but for the record and I know I've shown them before, here's my mk 1 TT RIMS 7.5 x 17's with 215 40' tyres,
Cheers Jeff

Hi guys just following on from this my hand has been forced a little and I have buckled one of my front wheels thanks to a lovely pot hole two days ago and need to either find a single rs4 style 17 wheel or look at another set. I do have a set the same as Jeff's mk1 TT wheels in the garage but I would still need to get them refurbished and put tyres on them before I could use them, so another idea would be to look for a set of A1 wheels if they would fit as I really like the style of some of these.

I have found these ones (please see photo). These are: 4 x 7x16" ET 34 alloy wheels & tyres, does anyone know if these would go straight into an A2?

Many thanks

I have not personally fitted these to an A2 but I believe that a few people have and the wheels fit and the tyres are correct too
If you let me know the tyre size on the wheels you want (just in case they are not the standard A1 size)

Thank you Steve the tyres that are currently on the wheels are dunlop sp 215/45/r16 but apparently they do not have a huge amount of tread so will need replacing after a short time

Do you think these will be ok?

Thanks for your help

That size is compatible with the A2 and so can be used. The width (215) is as wide as you would want to go on an A2 though, but as I say, apparently people have fitted these wheels with the A1 tyres without problems.
