Audis in the park 2014 - no longer a world record attempt

A somewhat delayed post from me, but I'd also like to say what a great day it was. The weather could have been an awful lot worse given what had been forecast at times, though we'll nevertheless hope a little less rain next year. Great news that AitP7 is on the cards. It was brilliant that the club was rewarded for its display of beautifully presented A2s. Mike, we owe you a further debt of gratitude for your precise parking instructions! I like that our representatives from A2 Freunde collected this award for A2OC. What a cooperative and inclusive bunch we are! :p
Also superb news that one of our members picked up a top-five-in-show award. Congratulations Emmett!

It was wonderful to see so many members, though with such a big turn-out the down-side is not getting to talk to everyone. Sorry to those new members whose hands I didn't shake. Note: must be more welcoming next time. :)

...some of the members lent a hand to try and solve it...

Crazylegs, I think this is the first photo of me ever to find its way onto the forum. Armed with terminal extraction tools, myself and Andre (of 1.2TDI fame) went about repairing the level sensor wiring on Aimee's (AJ Brewster) FSI. Thanks to all those who gathered 'round to diagnose the problem in the first place; great community effort. Hopefully that's solved the problem for good!

Finally, could the owner of the car with the dark 15" wheels seen in this photo please let me know who you are!? Thanks!

Hi Tom those 15" wheels belong to Steve A2steve46 (I believe but will check) momo brand -they do look very nice. Cheers mike

Hi Tom, yes they are indeed mine, they are Momo Revenge and come in matt black or matt anthracite. I brought them from rimstyle as a wheel tyre package with Yokohama Blu-earth 195-55-15's as I wanted a more comfortable ride being in pothole/speed bump infested South London.
I was going to send a link but I've just done a search and they now say those wheels are not in stock.

Thanks Mike for the kind comments.

Cheers
Steve

Finally found some time to post feedback from "far away"...

To make it short: It was a fantastic weekend in England and again worth every single of the four hundret miles to get to Northampton!
Although the weather happened to be very british on sunday, that did not dim the warm welcome we get from the A2 owners (or passengers) in any way:).

Glad to see the award for best club display going to A2OC, great job organising all bits and pieces.
Thanks to all (especially Mike) who put so much effort, helping to make the day comfortable and nice for everyone!
Last but not least: Big compliment to the english A2 community, beside the lovely little A2s there are the people who motivated us driving the long way (again) this year:cool:.

Greetings from Germany and hope to see you all again next year!

PS: Some photos will follow (did not take so many photos, because of weather and so much conversation).

Hi,
It was great to see you there and your company was appreciated by the club.

Thanks for coming, see you next time!
