Auto headlight conversion with coming home/ leaving home lights

Oh interesting, I had eBay auction number 163620007846 on my watch list from the same seller, which still shows as out of stock. I’ve ordered using the link you shared Steve.

Thanks very much!

EDIT: Ordered at 7:30am Singapore time this morning, now just 3h 20m later I’ve received a shipping tracking number!

Delivery time is much longer than around a week though - showing as expected between 7th - 25th September - I’m not in a hurry but be aware that this seller is not offering the fast shipping that was mentioned previously anymore.

Mine arrived yesterday ??

I can confirm that the headlight switch which @dj_efk purchased, also arrived yesterday.

It arrived here in Coalville along with some other items ready for me attack the headlight fascia trim to fit the aluminium/chrome ring and new icon ring to it.

I will add pictures of the process I went through to show everyone that it can be achieved fairly quickly.

Kind regards,

Tom

Mine turned up also. Just trying to figure out why they include a 25a miniblade fuse...
That is just in case you have high power consumption headlights. It is not needed unless you blow the fuse when fitting the kit.

Interesting....my old android nexus 5 phone that still runs version 6 wont connect. Passcode as quoted not going in I think 123456 may have changed but 0 instructions with the switch.

Scan button on both the nexus and my s8 wont depress.

I posted the instructions above.
It could be that you are taking slightly too long to start the scan. You need to turn on the ignition with the switch in the 0 position and do the scan within about 5 seconds. It will take several attempts so please do try again.
The number hasn’t changed. (as far as I am aware) and you only get to enter the number after the scan has going the switch.

What scan button? There is no scan button involved. As long as your phone has Bluetooth switched on then the rest is done via the related app That the switch needs.
Please do check my instructions above, I do explain that part of the process.

I put down all info I thought may relevant on the post. Def not taking too long and code not working.

Have asked for clarification from seller.

Switch also seems to go much deeper in car so beginning to think the design has changed.

The design hasn’t changed, it always does go in deeper.
The seller is ok but not very good at technical questions.

do you have access to a friends iPhone perhaps. You can try that instead to ascertain if it is the switch or not. But I suspect that the iPhone will pair ok.

also, once you have set it up on your or someone else’s phone you shouldn’t need to worry about pairing it again unless you want to change any settings.

I'll wait on seller coming back. I bought on basis that older android would work but I suspect then that android wont work full stop.

Everyone I know local on android so will need to operate on manual until I find a friend with an iphone

Just tried to pair again and for sure on the old android I'm getting an error due to incorrect pin.

So...that facepalm moment when you realise you have an ipad....

Code is indeed good and headlight switch configured.

Looks like cfa light does not work with android of ANY version.

Thanks for sticking with it steve.

More and more are reporting Android issue, perhaps it is only Apple that is now correctly supported.

Since you only need to pair it to set it up initially. If you have a friend with an iPhone you could pair it on that then configure the settings as I suggest in the instruction manual I wrote and you would never need to pair it again unless you needed to change the settings.

Yup I think the point here Steve is that if you want to buy this switch its evident that whilst it says it works on Android it clearly doesnt so you should take this into account when purchasing.

If that is correct, yes of course I fully agree.

All I am doing is trying to suggest an alternative solution In the short term.

I am in no way supporting the seller if it does not do what it says it should.
