Auto Headlight Install (Bluetooth version)

I put mine on the base of the driver’s triangular window.
but if you want it on top of the dash behind the instrument cluster cowl, you could feed it through. But since the sensitivity is adjustable it should be fine on any location.

Routed mine out through the right of the dash, through the gap in the trim and up the a pillar. Over the top of the a pillar and back down the windscreen about 7 inches. It is stuck onto the a pillar and is quite hard to see it unless you are looking for it. Would be cool to integrate it into an auto dimming rear view mirror.

Team,

Is THIS EBAY LISTING for the exact chrome / aluminium trim ring that those of you who have gone down this route fitted?

Want to be sure before ordering - I’m impatiently waiting for the switch seller to get more stock too!

Thanks

Morning all,

I routed mine the same as @audifan but have always wanted to have the sensor closer to the auto dimming mirror.

Before I refit my headlining I’m thinking of extending the sensor cable to have sensor on the back of the mirror. I might also see if there is room to put the sensor inside the foot of the mirror, I have tried to place it in there and it is very tight.

Kind regards,

Tom

If anyone has any doubt about the switch compatibility just look at the rear where the wiring fits into. You MUST have the one where the wiring block is a large rectangle that takes up most of the rear of the switch. The one that has just a little connector off to the side and a central spigot IS NOT compatible with the A2 ( at least for plug and play purposes )

Finally turned up yesterday no instructions or app with it though??

I am an iPhone user and the App within the AppStore is called CFA Light:

Free download and is quite straight forward to use once you have done the normal Bluetooth pairing.

Kind regards,

Tom

Thanks Steve. Does the BT version of the switch correctly show when the front & rear fogs are on?
I just received mine this morning. Plugged it in and thought the headlights wouldn't work, but then remembered that the ignition needs to be on for the headlights to work. All good. Just sent them a message now asking which app I need to download to gain the extra functionality. The item arrived about 2 weeks earlier than expected. Rather pleased.

Search for the CFA app

Any idea what the pairing code is? I tried 123456 as stated in the instructions, but nothing. It says that the code includes numbers and characters. I've tried 0000, and 1234 & 9999, but no luck :(

The code is 123456 but if you are using An Android phone the android app does not work on the current android software.
You only need the Bluetooth connection to set it up first time, after that it is not necessary. So if you have an iPad or a friend with an iPhone you can get going using that.

but please follow the instructions that I posted because the switch has to be off and ignition on, when you do the scan and don’t try to pair it in any way other than the app

I'm on Android 9 at the moment, which I don't think is the latest one. I have a Xiaomi phone with the MIUI firmware on it. Do you think that'll make a difference.

The only app that seems to work is the Apple iOS one.
can you get a friend /family member to use that Apple appperhaps. As I say it is only needed to set up the basic settings.
