AUX IN audi a2 connects2?

Hi Matt

That's great. Mine is the bluetooth unit and as far as I remember, the bit from the connects2 unit that goes into the top of the radio near the fuse is blue but it also has another color plug connected to it (I cant remember off hand what color and there is no picture on the packaging)

So am I getting this right...
I connect the complete connector I have taken off the concert stereo into the red housing on the adapter. I connect the connects2 up to this now vacant slot at the top of the radio (this would be a blue plug and also the other plug which is attached to it). I split the plugs coming from the bottom of the adapter and fit the appropriate plug in to the 1 remaining space in the slot on the top of the concert stereo

thanks a million for your input - I was way off with all of this

Hi

Hopefully this will be clearer. If you have a look at the attached picture...

what I propose is
attach old connector off concert stereo into 1
Connect 2 (blue&green plug) into vacant slot at top of radio by the fuse
Split 3 and insert remaining yellow plug into last remaining space in the top of concert stereo

Hi Low,

Yes, attach the old connector into 1. Then connect the blue plug from the Connects2 device to the back of the radio, above the fuse. Leave the green plug disconnected, I'm not sure what this does as looking at the pins, it simply replaces the cars data connection with one between the radio and Connects2 device. Then, plug the green and yellow plugs from the adapter/splitter into the back of the radio.

As the device is emulating a CD changer, it should only need to use the blue plug. I can't see what the green plug would do, other than cause issues.

Let us know how you get on! :)

Regards,

Matt.

Hi Matt

You are bang on - your last mail spelled out what I did last night and now its working like a dream. I have illumination now, the concert stereo goes off with the key and I have my display back on the dash. Also, no distortion/feedback through the speakers, it works like a dream and the sound is great.

I was stuck for a while last night but eventually figured out that I had to split the green plug from the connects2 unit and go with the original plug from the car. Don't know why they green connects2 plug is there at all

I really want to thank you for all your help - I wouldn't have gotten through that without your input. Great forum!! hope one day to be able to contribute and not just leech :)

Hi Matt,
With your unit, do you have the 6 CD changer in the rear?
I have the doubleDIN RNS-D NavigationPlus with Bose and rear CD changer... and would love to have an 3.5mm AuxInput.
The info on the Connects2 site is not clear enough for me to be certain...
Thx in advance.
John
