B pillar alarm button fitment advice please

@Snydersmuncher93 has kindly supplied me with a working B pillar alarm disabler button that I now need to fit. Laughable as this may sound to many, I need some advice on how to do it.
I presume that fishing around a bit behind the surround of the mounting hole I shall find a plastic connector that will join with the pins on the back of the button switch, which I then insert in the hole. Assuming that I am right so far, I wonder if there is more to it than that.
If I restore the connection does anything need to be done in relation to the electronics of the locking system, or indeed anything else?
I am no mechanic, I fear, and the A2 is the first car I have owned with modern electronics. I would be grateful for any tips.
Ciao a tutti.

No nothing complex, just plug the loom onto the switch and press the switch into the B pillar. To make your life easier pull the B trim inwards and away from the edge of the drivers door opening, this will expose hopefully the loose wiring for the alarm button. Loop a piece of string and drop it into the alarm button hole in the B trim and grab it through the gap you made by pulling the trim inwards. Place the end of the loop over the plug and use the string to gently raise the wiring until it comes through the button location. Plug the loom onto the switch, remove the string and push the button into the pillar ( it only fits in one way ), push the B trim back and refit it as needed behind the door seal.....
