Balancer shaft chain guides and sprockets

Hope you guys can help. My TDi 90 (ATL) has been off the road for a year with a suspected balancer shaft / oil pump chain failure. I finally got around to dismanting over Christmas and confirmed the damage, but sadly it needs the Febi Bilstein 43667 repair pack because the sprocket on the crankshaft has also taken damage. Along with some fairly extensive damage (aka total destruction) of the chain guides.

I've tried a half dozen suppliers (ranging from £150 - £210) who all claim to have had stock, but then fail to deliver and refund me.

Anyone know how to buy one? - It looks as though Febi have stopped manufacture of this repair part.

Wom automotive, I Belive have managed to track down a suitable supplyer, Mike shipton ATL engine rebuild , I think has a new chain fitted , unable to find link as I am on a train ....

What is the difference between Febi 32266 and 43667?

It looks like 43667 also includes the crankshaft sprocket. There’s a few suppliers when searching on Google, have you checked to see if it’s available from Audi or TPS?

Fairly sure TPS et all want you to buy a crank with gear fitted
May be proved wrong

Febi 40113 is the individual crank gear?

Just had my oil chain and tensioner replaced, had the same problem, ordered the parts directly from Germany in the end

Is this difficulty obtaining the repair kit just because it’s the atl engine or would it be the same for the amf and bhc ..and is the amf and bhc engine repair kit the same if so where can I obtain one I think long term I would buy one now ..in case they are deleted from production ..

Do you have a contact whom you ordered through? was it still the Febi part? - Febi themselves have just (in the last 2 weeks) removed the kit that included the crank sprocket.
Thanks in advance.

AFAIK the ATL / AMF / BHC and BHL / BHK engines from the Polo have the same setup - the Audi part numbers from ETKA are the same...

Arrh interesting,i didn't take much notice when i ordered mine as i just looked up the part number for my ATL engine, are you able to get a part code from these other kits

Audi only want to sell you the entire crank with sprocket attached - at over £1K sadly.

Have you stripped the engine down further than the photos indicate
If the gear has turned on the crank possibly has welded itself on and damaged crankshaft

Need front pulley and front seal cover off to assess
You may be lucky

Item no febi 43667 full kit all inc ...is it necessary to have the crank sprocket or will it suffice with the other 3 sprockets a clear answer would be great it seems like you can’t now obtain this full kit in uk sold out however I can see it’s available in Germany ...I would love a defininitivev answer as I would buy a kit to put away ..

For preventative maintenance prior to chain failure the three gear set should suffice

On failure the broken chain causes the crank gear to spin on crank
Engine speed at time of failure or repeated attempts to restart can cause gear to weld onto the crank

if your are lucky replace gear if not needs a crank also
