Hello there
Just trying to diagnose my battery drain issue and found posts here re the ccu that has got me wondering
Picture of my ccu attached from my 2001 1.4 petrol A2
My issue is slowish battery drain
I'll disconnect the ccu and see if that stops it but makes it hard to use the car so in the mean time ....just trying to work out most likely options
I former owner had a mechanic hack a boot latch button repair by wiring it into the petrol cap release button
I assume this would upset the CCU .... perhaps?
sadly I don't have the diagnostic tool to inspect it
Also the boot light is completely missing (assuming it should be on the left of the boot entry around parcel shelf height ? Just a small square hole there now and a loose 2 part connector.
I doubt that would cause an issue .... but perhaps?
Would a good quick test be to put ammeter across the fuses that the ccu is hooked up to (36 and 42??? I think from memory) and then pull the main power lead from the ccu and see if the amp leak drops ?
Not sure if that then tells me I need a ccu or if the fault is just in the ccu managed circuitry somewhere !
Many thanks for any tips
