Many Thanks Is it the same for the rear hub ?Front wheel bearing and hub flange are a single component
Tool to insert new one is a split collar that applies the force to the outer shell of the bearing
Thanks again I saw the videos on youtube just now so I know that the split collar looks like.Rear is mounted on stub axle with nut
No special tools
Concealed below the cap which chaps off with chisel
The front needs a new nut on the driveshaft as the locking wings sheer off on removal
Many Thanks for the info/warning. It is a petrol but I suspect it would be the same as a dieselYou might also have trouble getting the drive shaft out of the hub/bearing (front). On some cars (definately diesels) these are glued in and can take several tonnes of force to remove. Might come off easily but forewarned is forearmed. I eventually got mine off with a 12 tonne hydraulic puller but still required heat and a shock with a hammer as well!
