As per Ian’s @spencer wanted thread here:


Both Ian and I have been in conversation via Pm to see what the possibility of another run of these stunning footrests which really do sit nicely within the drivers footwell. They original concept was to compliment the TT pedal cover which they do extremely well but can also but just as elegant without the TT pedal covers.

Here’s the start of the last group order which has all the details although the pricing from late 2021 is probably insufficient today:

Here’s a few pictures the recent footrest that I added into the fleet with the new 3D printed ‘A2’ which drops into the laser cutout perfectly:

I’ll start engaging with Cutting Technologies tomorrow to get an updated price for another run of these but recall that the minimum order value was £150 and that’s for just 1 footrest or as many footrests that they can fit onto a sheet. In the last this we a total of 27 at around £7.00 each with is an absolute bargain. Paul will be able to provide an update for todays pricing for the infills but if Paul is unable to do these then I have an alternative solution if necessary but would rather Paul be the provider as we worked together on this project when it commenced some years ago.

For now I suppose I just need a show of hands of who might be interested in joining Group Order 4 which will be around. 20-30 footrests with the price around £7.00, but this is just a wild guess and will find out a refined quantity and price tomorrow. As ever this is a non-profit venture for me and my time in the background is totally free as is my time packaging them up and dispatching them. I actually don’t need another footrest myself as I already have 1 spare for a future project A2.

To start proceedings could you show you’re no-obligation interest in the following manner:

Afternoon Stuart,

These potential group order is for RHD A2s and unfortunately these footrests do not fit in the footwell on LHD A2s. Whilst supplying similar for a LHD A2 isn’t impossible, it would mean a totally different order using a new template for the LHD A2s. If you’re on one of the European A2 websites then it might be worth opening a thread on there to see if there is enough interest to fulfil an order of around 27 footrests. If there is such a requirement then I’m happy to work with you or anyone else to pull this together for our European friends.

Evening Erling,

I was hoping you’d jump onboard for a LHD (or 2) footrest as I would be asking for your assistance to obtain the necessary dimensions for the footrest. We can pick this over WhatsApp though and I’ll get the drawings created and added here once they’re been inspected by Paul as he would be the go to member to create the footplate with the A2 and TT cutouts on in the specific CAD file format.

Evening all,

I’ve already been in touch with Paul @depronman who confirms that he is able to fulfil the 3D printed TT style inserts for these glorious footrest. I’ll be back tomorrow or the next few days to share the response from Cut-Tec and their latest pricing.

Note: The order will not be able to be submitted until all the footrests are spoken for and payment received. This might take a couple of months to get to the dizzy heights of roughly 27 footrests but we’ve done it in the past. There should be in the region of 200 A2s already sporting one of these tasteful additions.

Thank you fir the interest,. Yes these are extremely simple to fit, they adhere onto the existing footrest with the supplies 3m UHB tape. Give your existing footrest a wipe over with alcohol first, allow to dry then press the shiny new footrest on and allow 12-24 hours for the tape to cure. I'll provide more details later on but for the time being have a look at the links in the initial post as it takes you back to the very beginning of this venture. I'll add you to the list right now though.

Thought I'd quickly get a list together so we all have visibility of where we are regards number:

You can see that although I don't need another footrest right now I thought it rude to not take one anyway. As long as the sun continues to rise means that I'll no doubt have another project or 2 in the future!

I'll hopefully be able to reveal todays pricing from Cutting Technologies and the 3M UHB tape along with postage and packaging tomorrow after a bit more research.
