Hello Alan,

Nice to hear from you Sir. I've always liked the idea of filling the A2 cut out with something but also wanted an insert similar to the TT style infills. Unfortunately at the time of the first group order Paul was unable to provide an insert that was a simple pop in without any filing down or sanding due to the intricate detail. The A2 inserts I've shown were produced by my nephew with his new all singing all dancing 3D printer. No filament was used as he chose to produce these with a liquid resin as it is stronger and doesn't really show any of the usual print layer lines.

Anyone with a footrest previously fitted could use these newly available A2 inserts but I'm not sure how good they would hold in place. I've fitted mine with fresh 3M VHB tape on the underside of the footrest along with a light pass of superglue, been good so far but doing this retrospectively might not be possible without removing the footrest first which will involved adding fresh 3M VHB tape. They do look good though but think your approach is the best option for anyone who has their footrest already fitted.

Hello Paul,

Are you referring to the factory rubber carpet over mats Sir? If so then these have been unavailable for RHD A2s for many years unfortunately.

Yes the factory rubber mats do keep the fabulous bespoke A2OC branded mats nice and clean for the warmer months. I should probably remove the rubber mats whilst it’s warm and dry as it’s blind to take a turn for the worse soon enough.

Was you after a footrest or 2 Sir.

As we’re in the last half of this month I’ll contact Cutting Technologies to obtain another quote and upload the response on here for transparency. Should the price change then it’ll only by by a few pence bill continue to do this until we get the remaining 9 footrests spoken for.

Paul @depronman is ready to start producing the TT style infills and I’ve already purchased the 3M VHB tape along with padded envelopes. Here’s a reminder of what on offer:

If you want one of these in your footwell then please do respond to this thread as I don’t think a fifth group order will be initiated for quite some time; this could well be the last change to get one of these for a couple of years.

Can I be cheeky and ask for just the A2 logo insert? I still have my footrest unfitted so I could add the "A2" logo now before I finally get round to fitting it!

Afternoon all,

As the month of August is pretty much at an end, this sees the quote for the 30 footrests almost being out of date. I’ve since contacted Cutting Technologies and they have honoured the exact same price for the whole of September.

If it was going to change it was only ever going to be by a few pence per footrest. Let’s see if we can put names to the remaining 9 footrests before the end of September to same this thread reaching fruition.

Sorry Tom I've found my previous footrest from one of previous runs and no longer require the 2. Very sorry for the change of mind

Thought I’d add a post on here to keep the thread alive. There are 11 footrests that require to be spoken for before we can see this group order through to fruition.

Im guessing that most members who want one of these already have one, there have been nearly 200 sold in recent years over 3 group orders. Due to it taking a little while to reach the minimum order quantity of 30 footrests, I’m not sure that there will be another group order anytime soon so this is the last chance to liven up your footwell with group order pricing for the next few years.

Just seen this, and it answers a question I had.
When I bought my A2, it came with the stainless foot plate unfitted. It also had an envelope with the little black plastic bits it, but I didn't know what they were for. Now I know!!!
