Bespoke A2 Footrest Group Order 4

Any appetite for just biting the bullet and getting on with the order?
If we spread the additional cost between the current 21 my rough maths suggests it would be an extra £6 each.
We could be hanging on for another few months if not.
Morning,

Thank you for highlighting this perspective; think this might well be the way forward and guess I should have asked the question in the past.

With the list of 24 footrests spoken for only leaves 6 footrests deficient from the minimum order quantity these are prices at £8.30 with VAT. The totals from your quick calculation are quite high and beleive it to be much less if shared over the 21 members involved within this group order:

1x £8.30 Footrest multiplied by 6 is £49.80. This total then divided by the 21 members involved brings the shared cost of the 6 required footrest to roughly £2.40. Whilst I’m more than happy to pay an extra £2.40; I of course cannot speak for everyone else. Maybe some feedback from the members involved in this group order is required.

Something else to consider is what to do with these 6 spare/unspoken for footrests. Personally I’d be uncomfortable in selling them as I’d be profiteering from them as they would have been paid for my the group. I could wait until all 6 were sold and then return the circa £2.40 to each of the group. The other option is to hand them over to Fiona @FinallyFiona to sell in the forums shop to use the proceeds against the upkeep of the club.

There is no rush to decide on what to do as I’m quite busy right now and simply don’t have time to queue up to send 30 (24) footrest until the week of Christmas anyway, so maybe best to wait until the New Year anyway. I’ll get an updated quote from Cut-Tec this week too so we all k is exactly what we’re paying.

I’ll tag everyone involved in this group order below to get their attention. All that is required is one of the 3 following options:

1. Reply/respond with your thoughts on adding £2.40 to the price of your item to hasten the order process.
2. Like thumb up to show happy with the £2.40 addition
3. Lime thumbs down to show unhappy to pay extra and happy to wait for 6 more members to join the group order

@jagrs, @the_luton_man, @Dance Vans, @SamT, @Darpod14, @spencer, @Jellybean, @mapping, @birtyA2, @den's a2, @noblet, @butch890, @Indi, @greenstorm, @Homz, @ajchetcuti, @Daisy May, @MattA2V, @Pinky, @bluesunbeam

There is no right or wrong answer to the above option. Personally I’d be happy to wait as supplying group order items at the very best possible price has always been my intension as I believe no one needs to pay more than necessary, whilst on the other hand many or you have already been waiting many many months. I’m happy to go with the crowd on this one.

Fiona, what’s you appetite on taking up to 6 bare footrests into the shops where all proceeds can be utilised for the upkeep of the Club. I can drop them off to save on any postage etc.

Kind regards,

Tom

My car hasn't ever had the shiny footrest so I think it could wait. On the other hand prices keep going up so happy to pay the £2.40 added cost right now rather than an unknown possible added cost whenever we were to reach the full order quantity. If I were to receive the footrest early it would be a while before I would get round to actually fitting it. I will go with the majority on this.

Hi,

I will take one.

Thanks
Steve
Eveninb Steve,

Thank you for jumping aboard Sir. I’ll get you added to the list soonest. With Cut-Tec closing for the year next Friday afternoon I see the order being submitted on the first week of January. I’ll be in touch with everyone involved with an updated price etc once their office might are back on in 2025:

Evening,

Yes of course you can. I’ll have your name on the list in the morning and will respond to your above comment regards options then too.

Kind regards,

Tom

I no longer require one at present Tom, I still have one in storage with infills. Thanks
No problems Darren,

I did wonder if you still required post the recent sale Sir. I’ll have your name removed from the list and add an updated version later on today.

Kind regards,

Tom

Hello, still on time to order 2 pieces?
Evening,

I can see from viewing your user profile that you're in Italy which suggests your A2s are LHD. These footrests only fit the RHD variant unfortunately. I guess this will cancel your interest unless you have 2 RHD A2s there with you. A LHD variant could well make it into production in 2025 if there was enough interest. It might be cheaper to have a European base LASER cutting company do it as it'll be cheaper to ship around to the LHD community than originating it from the UK where customs get involved.

Kind regards,

Tom

Evening all,

Below is the updated list to show how close we are to a full house:

Only 5 footrests to be spoken for but if these don't get taken then we will all share the minimal costs and the 5 spare bare footrests will be donated to the Clubs shop. Fiona @FinallyFiona I take it that this proposition is fine with you? I can drop them off one evening whenI head South like in the past.

As soon as Cutting Technologies open their doors in 2025 I will be there knocking to get an updated invoice. I'll host the invoice on here showing a breakdown of the costs then switch to DM to collect payees from all involved. The footrests, in the past, have arrived here at 2work Towers within as week of payment being made.

Something to look forward to in 2025 I suppose!

Thank you all for waiting for this to happen but I think we're pretty much there and will have what's been discussed on this thread for months by the end of January. I hope all you enjoy tomorrows festivities and will catch up with you via DM next year.

Merry Christmas to everyone else who isn't involved in this venture.

Kind regards,

Tom
