Evening all,

Throughout this evening you (those of you who was waiting for your infills to be placed in the same parcel) will receive a PM from me with a screenshot of your parcels status.

This screenshot will have your tracking number displayed for you to track your footrest(s) via the Hermes app or website.

All these parcels were collected yesterday lunchtime and will be with you shortly. One has already need delivered today, which is remarkable for a 3 day service.

All the parcels from the initial batch sent last week have all been received apart from @i love a2, for some reason this parcel had a 24 hour delay on it but that was on Friday. Hopefully it arrives soon. I have been in touch with Hermes about this and they state it will be with the recipient as which as they can get it there.

I might have a spare footrest if I don’t get my hands on another A2 in the coming weeks. My third footrest is not for sale yet but will add it to this thread if it becomes available. The price will of course be the same as everyone else has paid.

Kind regards,

Tom

fitted with new genuine Audi pedal covers .

Hi devans,
Are they easy to fit , mine have turned up but haven’t got round to fitting them yet as I’m waiting for the footrest to turn up & then will prep ready .
Cheers

I fitted a set on Saturday in readiness for my footrest arriving. The single biggest challenge was getting the old clutch pedal cover off. I had to cut into it in the end to get it released.
I soaked the new ones in hot water immediately prior to fitting and applied fairy liquid to the the rubbers which helped with slipping on.

Care needs to be taken when removing the original clutch pedal rubber, especially when cold I actually broke part of the pedal plate as it is only plastic!

Hi Sootywg,
Thanks for the heads up, does it need to come off in a particular way?
Thanks
Keith

The safest way would be to cut the old one off. I was being optimistic that I could keep It to replace it if I needed to revert to standard rubbers.

I managed to get it off in salvageable condition with 2 small incisions but would have been easier to have just chopped it tbh.

Morning All,

The list in post #360 has been updated. This shows that all footrests have been paid for and dispatched. The footrests that are marked as collection will be updated as and when they're indeed collected.

Every footrest for postage has been sent (only 5 remain to be delivered) if you have yet to receive it you can track it via the Hermes app or website using the tracking number I supplied by PM, you should have them for the weekend.

To generate enough interest for a potential second order, can you please add a picture once fitted to your A2

Kind regards,

Tom

Evening,

If you’re going to use a blade to cut the factory pedal covers off, please do be careful as the rubber, which with age will now be like hard plastic is quite thick and difficult to get through.

When I done this the first time I also broke part of the plastic clutch pedal. I suggest you soften the factory pedal covers with a hair dryer or heat gun (low heat setting) for easier removal.

Please do be careful.

Kind regards,

Tom

Hi Tom,
My pack has just arrived , I will post a picture of it once installed.
Many thanks to you both your hard work in getting these produced & sent out So quickly.
Cheers
Keith.

Afternoon everyone,

List updated in post #360. Only 2 remain to be delivered.

1. @i love a2, this parcel has been reported by Hermes as lost and they are doing everything they can to locate it. I have been on the phone to them twice about his missing parcel. I must say that Hermes have the longest waiting times whilst on hold, utterly terrible and not much use when you get to speak to a human, just my personal opinion from experience yesterday.
2. @N8P, this was only recently dispatched do should be there by the weekend.

Only 4 members remain to collect:

1. @Proghound, Im delivering this on Monday.
2. @Bargepower, Im delivering this to @Proghound on Monday.
3. @Beagles, collecting Saturday morning.
4. @WindyMiller, no date set so far.

This venture really is in the final stages now. I truly like the pictures posted so far, seeing so many of these great items fitted to your A2(s) makes it all so worth it.

The best picture so far has to that from @audifan. Now if there was a prize of a free Footrest, which there isn't, it would have to go to him. Great work Graham.

Kind regards,

Tom
