Bespoke Branded Footwell Mats Group Order

Hello all,

I thought I'd move the list to the very start of the thread for easier viewing.

Here's the list below which will be updated periodically to show you the I have captured your interest. I'll revise the list over the next few days to ensure its fit for purpose but this should suffice for now:

As you've come to understand from pervious dealings, this Group Order is of course yet another zero profit venture. I'll be paying exactly the same for my mats that you are for yours. My time working in the background for you is free of charge, a way of giving back to the community I both enjoy and serve.

No problem at all. I’ll send out the additional payment requests once the mats arrives and have been sent.

I’m constantly checking all the Yodel tracking numbers I’ve been provided but so far they have only been generated and the packages still reside with the sender. I was hoping that some of them would be shown as on the move so I could have nice new branded mats for the Kimbolton show tomorrow, not looking likely now though.

Morning all,

Just noticed that the very first set of mats have safely arrived to their recipient. A second set should be arriving later today.

For everyone who hasn't sent the additional postage fee to me, please hold onto it for now and I'll send out another round of PMs once your mats have been sent so I can confirm the final postage costs. I know my workings out are spot on but many couriers seen to be increasing their prices. Hopefully EVRi have now finished their pricing adjustments.

Evening all,

The second sets of mates from this group order has now arrived with their owner. The list at Post #1 has has been updated to reflect this.

These 2 sets of mats didn't have the optional embroidered Club logo so guess this is where the hold up might be. I'm sure you're all getting impatient as I am too, leave it with me and I'll get an update from Dan to you soonest. I'm still watching the tracking numbers but still reside with the sender.

Fingers crossed that we will see how the Super Deluxe look fitted within our footwells in the coming days. Maybe @Kennedy or @Dalibu can give a teaser picture of their mats in their aluminium friend.

Hi, yes I can report our mats turned up at the weekend – I didn't realise I was one of the first to receive them! - I opted not to go for the club logos as the mats were for my wifes car...so simple was a better option this time for me. It's a nice enough TDI75 which looks like this...

But it's mats looked like this ...

But thanks to Tom and the group buy it now has nice fresh mats like this (the rest of the interior plastics still need a scrub!)...

We've been through loads of mats of varying qualities in this car hence why the rubber heel pad seemed like a sensible choice for only a little extra. They all fitted nicely all round, and yes they are clearly heavier and better quality than sets I've bought previously for 30-40 quid on eBay, so very happy.

Today I received a few parcels of bespoke branded Super Deluxe mats. I’ll work through then parcel contents to work out who’s sets have arrived.

The list will be updated later this evening followed by the dispatching of your items. The end of Themis venture is almost here and you’ll finally see something for the money you sent me a few weeks ago.

Here’s my massively improved footwell which started off just ove r2 years ago with recolouring the fuse cover:

I only noticed this after uploading the pictures as was too excited to conduct immediate quality control. Unfortunately it’s not the camera, the swatches on the drivers side have indeed been applied at a slight angle.

Here’s a a shot from another angle which shows how untrue the placement is:

I genuinely feel for you Tom. I havnt ordered these mats but appreciate all the time and effort you've invested in trying to get them just right. It's not your fault...they appear to have let you down on that set and hope it's the only one.

The effort and time that Tom has expended is to be applauded. I'm certain that such minor issues can be corrected by the supplier. I'm happy to assist Tom in this regard.

I'd still not quibble if mine are delivered like this. Let's not forget, you put you feet on them. If anyone is that focused on the logo, especially when driving, let me know when you are on the road next...

Evening all,

Apologies for the unacceptable scare earlier as I should have conducted my own quality control before I stupidly and excitedly rushed to place a set in OEM for a quick photo opportunity. It was quite deflating as I looked back on the pictures I posted on here as I see the issue straight away.

What can I say so far, yes there are some flaws across quite a few sets of mats which I will of course take up with Simply Car Mats. This process has already started as Dan dropped into the A2OC pages earlier and has seen the unsatisfactory product that I revealed on Project OEM. A full list of what needs to be rectified will be with him as soon as I’ve worked through everything I have here.

On a positive note though, the mats fit splendidly and the quality really is very good, much thicker than the excellent condition factory mats I have here. The embroidery is of a higher standard than the samples I have previously shown which is a complete bonus.
I’ve not yet managed to open all the boxes as I’m running out of room on the floor whilst inspecting them all. But I’ll (hopefully) have this done before I retire for the evening, should I fail then it’ll be complete some point tomorrow.

I’ll do my upmost best to have the acceptable mats with EVRi tomorrow but time is clearly against me here to get them inspected, ticked off the list to note any deficiencies, packaged and labelled up and finally dropped off at my local collection point shop all before I head off to work 06:30-07:00 in the morning.

Viewing zoomed in really does enhance the slight imperfection/unparalleled finish but its so close that you wouldn't notice when fitted in the footwell. There some outrageously acute placements which I'll save for another day and will not be shipped the the community. Still unpacking and will add more pictures later on or in the morning.

That is a stunning interior colour combination and is of course nicely finished off with the bespoke branded mats.

You’re the very first member to receive a set of these Super Deluxe mats with the embroidered Club logo swatches. Looks truly fantastic and very glad you’re happy with your purchase. I know the embroidered Club logo swatches on your mats were faultlessly placed unlike some of the unparalleled sets that arrived, which are going to be rectified for me by the factory who accept full responsibility for this blunder.

More of the same perfected standard will be dispatched once done rectification work has been completed by the factory.

Well doesn’t that look a picture!!! Well done Tom @2work and @devans thanks for giving me a very good idea what Tonka will look like when I pick mine up as the set up on yours is very similar
