Best place to buy drive shafts

Apologies if this is in the wrong forum.

My son's 2005 1.4 TDi has worn CV joints and we're thinking it may be easier to replace the entire drive shafts to upgrade them all at the same time.

Any recommendations as to where to buy from? There are a lot of cheap and nasty looking parts on eBay, but I'm sure there are some good ones too. J&R have been mentioned; any views?

Thanks

I've replaced driveshafts / CV joints on both TDis and also our 1.4i using J&R parts bought from their Ebay shop following recommendation from @depronman, all worked first time and were a vast improvement on the knackered originals, now with at least 2 years of mileage on them in the case of the first TDi. Good price and quick delivery.

Can only second what Robin as stated the J & R joints are of excellent quality and perform well, how they supply them for the price is totally beyond me considering that you get the joint, a quality boot, metals clips for the boot, C clips, grease and for the outer joints a new nut

The only thing they don’t provide is man to fit them

If the outer joints have not been out before then you will need a pusher to push the CV joint out of the bearing. Audi used anti fretting compound on assembly which does a great job of bonding the joint splines into the bearing
I use a hub mounted hydraulic pusher and once that is at 10 tons pressure an sts hammer drill with a blunt chisel on the side of the CV joint
The combination of pressure from the pusher and vibration from the SDS drill as so far always got the CV joint out
Keep rotating the joint and using the SDS on different parts of the joint as near to the hub as possible
The joint out of the bearing is by far the worst part of the job

There is no point in replacing the drive shafts as only the joints will be worn

I got a refurbished drivers side driveshaft by a local specialist via my mechanics euro car parts account for approx £100 and got him to fit it.
