Better tyres!

Out of interest what wheels do you currently have on your car as the tyre sizes you have fitted are non-standard size for the A2, a photo would be good if you could add one?

Regarding more comfort, as others have said if your suspension is all good then a deeper section sidewall (which any smaller 15" set of wheels will allow) will be an improvement, coupled with the correct tyre pressures on good quality tyres, well balanced to the wheels 👍
The tyre/wheel is what I've had on ever since acquiring the car 8/9 years ago.

Need to be aware that the wider the tyre, the higher the load on the power steering pump, and associated linkage. It's designed for OEM tyres, wider than that will over load it, so, maybe not such a good idea.

That looks to be a 6J SE wheel. A 205 width tyre is simply too wide for the rim. What tyre pressure do you run at?

My suspicion is that you're over-inflating the tyre to maintain the grip to the bead. Larger tyres require slightly lower pressures for the best balance of performance and comfort.

As I said before, I run 195/50 on the same wheels at 30 psi and they have always been more than comfortable.

I use 195/50x16 on my 6-spoke SE wheels at 30 psi and they have always been comfortable, just even more so now I've had the suspension rebuilt.

Hello,

I have 195/50/16 and they are just the very.

I tried similar 195/50/16 XL (with that reinforced side wall)
and they have been indeed worse than just 195/50/16.
