Bit gripped yesterday....

Well, it was warmer and spring seems to be here so its time for "that" moment again....

The first seasons opening of the Open Sky roof....

I keep it closed during the winter as it's well below freezing here making the grease very thick and un-greasy, putting extra strain on the cables and gears. The first opening is always a little tense. However, everything went fine, both sections lifted and slid with only a quiet "pong" as the seals released. Pleased I siliconed everything late last year...

Roll on summer and open sky living!

Glad to hear it went ok. I know that "pong" sound!
I didn't want OSS due to potential issues, but when I found my current car, it had lots of pluses so I accepted that I would own a car with OSS, but never use it.
Or so I thought. The first time I opened it, it was a tense moment. But since it was ok, I now use it regularly and would certainly miss it.
I regularly open it (as recommended to keep it lubed) throughout the year, much to wife's annoyance when she's in the car and its the middle of Feb!!!!

A good "pong" is far better than a "pffffftgrrrrrchchch" any day!

I trust you still have the fly screen thing or as I call it the Kitten Trampolene / Hammock....( its where our small cat sleeps in the summer when I leave the roof open).... probably a must-have for use in Feb!
