Black Mambo TDi75

Heres a few pics pre wash of the wheels...I'm sticking with these, they look so good, remind me of porsche Cups or some older period aez that were on t5's..they look better in flesh. Thr vrs brakes look right now.

List of remaining parts I have stashed away to fit or connect, some even part fitted already, are as follows....

Bose kit & new headunit fit and connect
Reverse sensor just connections
Heated washer jets just connections
Headlight washers just 2 connections
Three door lock repairs

Then I'm done, finished, cooked.
Any more activity on an A2 will be another A2 or a rescue.
This will remain my 1st love and I'll hold on to it as long as I can now

Great luck on the Facebook market recently, found a black bonnet and when indrove to Birmingham from Wotton to collect it they told me they have a mint passenger door too! Awesome so got both in the car, just and here's the results.

While I had door off I swapped the bose speakers in to make a start on next round of electrical upgrades..

The difference in standard and bose speakers is obvious with the magnet weight and cone design.

Hello Edd,

I’ve said it before I know, but this A2 has come such a long way. Well done for persevering with this one and making it extremely special with its upgrades at the same time. I know a project is never truly finished but what’s on your drive way right now is just gorgeous. Great work!

Kind regards,

Tom

Hi Tom,
very kind of you pal! I have to say I got very lucky, it really is starting to get down to final touches now.
The irony is as I get close to finishing it so does my work move which renders it redundant. It'll be a carport queen then :-)

Managed to get some polish down on a very scratched surface. Used maguires105. Seemed to work nicely but needs buffing off immediately for easy life.

Hard to don't justice but the reflections are clear now.
Bonnet then door skin below..

Almost at the end of my time with black mambo but she's getting some serious love right at the end! Seems stupid if I'm passing her over to another custodian but I can't leave things not finished.

Today I'm looking at the splash gaurds I didn't fit when doing the brake upgrade.

Does anyone know the correct bolts for these? As I have got any!!

So moving onto the webasto, this will be the second refit and hopefully this time it's all good!
New glowpins fitted by @datsundrew kindly
Its time like this you love having mudlapds and undertrays :-)

Nice work Edd,

Was catching up with this thread earlier. Such a nice car which has been nicely pampered for its future owner.

Kind regards,

Tom

Thanks Tom, it's virtually all new :-) I may change my mind but I like it to be used for its functional intentions, i e ferrying someone to work and back everyday like it has me for last few years.

Someone will get an absolute cracker.
