I must say everyone that I’m liking the blue more than the red :) Hopefully the person in Leicester sells his soon to me ?

Lol at least I know now. everyone else spells it vortex lol

Votex is a acronym of VOlume Trade and EXport. They're responsible for the A2 bodykit, and their logo is displayed below. As Jeremy rightly points out, there's no R.
A vortex is a phenomenon in fluid dynamics, akin to a whirlpool. Many people mistakenly believe that it's also the name of the bodykit. Unfortunately, Votex isn't in most dictionaries, meaning it is often auto-corrected to 'Vortex'. This explains why you so frequently see this spelling mistake. As such, when hunting for a Votex bodykit, it's a good idea to search for both 'Votex' and 'Vortex'.

...if a red one pops up with votex kit fitted...

I remember, many years ago, it was almost a weekly occurrence that someone would join the club and start a thread asking for a low-mileage TDI with OpenSky, climate control, heated leather Sport seats, rear bench, DIS, cruise control, Bose and preferably a double-DIN dash. The forum stalwarts used to take it in turns to gently calm their expectations.
I appreciate that your wish list doesn't immediately seem quite so unrealistic; you're looking for an FSI in red with a Votex kit. That is without doubt still a needle in a haystack. Red A2s are extremely uncommon, as it wasn't a popular car colour during the days of the A2's production. Red paint is also notorious for lacquer peel, meaning those that are left often look tatty, making them prime victims of breakers. Of the red ones that are still on the road, you're looking for one with the least reliable engine, which is also a common cause of a one-way ticket to a breaker's yard. Assuming you can find a red FSI, it's then got to have one of the rarest optional extras available (the Votex kit). So, without wishing to pour cold water on your plans, there may only be one A2 that matches your description.
The solution to this is to broaden your net. Adding blue to the acceptable list of colours will help. Buying a Votex kit separately and having it fitted will help a lot, though also increases costs significantly. Considering engines other than the 1.6 FSI can also only help.

Best of luck with your hunt. No doubt the A2 Buyers Anonymous will be keeping their eyes out for you.

Cheers,

Tom
