Boot door and rear pillar lining removal tips

Does anyone one have tips for removing and refitting the boot door trim and lining and the rear pillar trim? Beyond just 'be careful' :)
I'm planning to fit a reversing camera in the panel by the boot release switch and rear number plate lights. I need to route the cable to the stereo headunit somehow and am thinking of through the rubber cable protector that the number plate lights and boot release go through, though it looks like it'll be a horrifically tight fit...

I've seen a video that used a door stop wedge of wood to slide under the tailgate interior panel and prize lever apart.

My "How to" on removing the headlining may help re rear pillar trim.

As for routing the cable through the rubber tube to the boot door then I've read that this is extremely difficult to do / near impossible. Do a search. Sometimes google search is better with: site:a2oc.net <then your search words>

I went for a camera fixed to a bracket that clips into the headlining - someone made a thread on that:

Wooden spatula worked a treat for me!
Good idea to remove the emergency boot release handle and push cable inside trim as it usually goes crashing to the ground when doing it on your own
