The hatch / booot release button has broken. I see a lot of fule flap release buttons but can't find the replacement hatch release.

Can someone point me in the right direction? Is it a part shared with other Audis of the period?

Thx

OR are you confusing the alarm button for a boot release? The 2 switches on the drivers door B pillar are FUEL FLAP OPEN and ALARM INTERIOR MONITORING DISABLE.

The hatch has a soft touch button on the hatch just below the Audi rings and above the number plate. Is opened ( unlatched ) by pressing and holding the centre button on the remote for a couple of seconds and has the emergency release cable built into the hatch trim panel.

Suggest if you do not have one that you obtain a copy of the owners manual as all this is fully explained in it and answers most questions.

you are right - the button facia has been pushed in - i assumed it was the hatch release - it is the alarm disable button - i can see those for sale - will buy a replacement - thx all my mistake
