Boot lamp

I have just bought a 2001 1.4 SE, and despite replacing the bulb, the boot lamp doesn't work. I haven't checked any further yet, but does anyone know if this works on a tilt switch or if there is a normal sprung switch somewhere?

Switch is part of the rear lock mechanism.
