If anyone's interested, there's a BOSE 5 channel amplifier on Ebay at the mo'.

It currently stands at £45, which is less than a tenth of what Mr Audi wants for it new!!!

WAS : A2 TDI SE 2001 Ebony Black Pearl (The Little Tank!)
NOW : A2 TDi 90 Sport, OpenSky, winter pack, ISOfix, all-round fogs, climate control, all-round electric windows, Blaupunkt Woodstock DAB54, genuine HID xenons and red leather! Not to mention CCC Tech chipping (118bhp), K&N air filter, all round tinting, all-black headlining and retro-fitted cruise control and GALA.(The NEW Tank). Retro-fit Bose coming soon!!! Now if only I could find a TT 3.2litre engine.........

No - the factory fit speakers are of the same impedance and nominal power handling as Bose replacements. You could, if you wanted to, swap them over in time and add the sub, but if you just wanted to fit the Bose amp, you could.

Went for EUR66 I see. Decided that I didn't really want the hassle - the radio sounds ok as it is...
