When you say that it’s only outputting on the left channel, do you mean that the speakers in both of the right-hand doors aren’t working?
Cheers,
Tom
Take the radio (OEM I assume?) out, check the connectors are all good and tight. Check for signs of wiring mods, perhaps for aftermarket radio? My recent purchase has Bose installed and appears to only have an output on the left channel.
Are there any things obvious to check (other than the fader/balance settings as I have done that!)
This issue is caused by a dodgy connection to the speaker, either at the back of the head unit, at the speaker itself, or at the door pillar connection. The door pillar connection is the usual culprit. Simply disconnecting and remaking the connection solves the problem, unless there’s corrosion due to water ingress.I have had an intermittent issue on my head unit (not Bose) for quite some time in that the right channel dies but can be resurrected by increasing the volume temporarily. Any chance this is similar?
Would that affect both front and rear speakers. This issue is caused by a dodgy connection to the speaker, either at the back of the head unit, at the speaker itself, or at the door pillar connection. Your secret is safe with us ?.So this is a very odd one, upon testing with radio only had output from left side, tried CD and had both channels. Back to radio and both channels work and it's been fine since!
Hopefully just a gremlin and all will be OK now! Thank you all for the help and suggestions
The really painful thing was the only CD I could find was a old Girls Aloud disk!!!
