Hi all,

Usually I fill BP 95 unleaded to my 1.4i, never 98. But I am going to do about 1.000 kms (625 milles) next moth and I don't know if its good idea to fill Ultimate 98 for this trip.

My wife use the A2 every day on town, so I think its not necessary fill 98 for this, but think for a trip can be good idea.

What do you think?

Many thanks for your help.

Regards

Won't do any harm,
more pep and it will give the thottle system a good clear out too.

I better say I work for bp but I wear overalls so I can only speak from experiance not the lab!

there is no harm using 98RON. I regularly use Shell V-Power which gives the most engine response and a noticable increase in total milage (I usually use it on long motorway trips). Tesco 99 is also more responsive than standard and pulls well at motorway speed, BP Ultimate is similar. But with V-Power, engine is noticably more sporty in lower rpm than other premium petrol I tried.

Many thanks for your answers.
Lamentably we don't have Vpower here in Spain, but have a primer minister that wants to change all petrol engines by electric engines:p.
I am going to fill Ultimate 98 for this trip, I think its good idea and better than 95 for long milleage.

I always use 98 on my mtm TT:cool:

Hi all,

Just only say that I used since my last answer regulary BP Ultimate 98ron and definetly my A2 runs better and has better fuel consumption.

Do it. The additives will clean out the injectors and also help clean up the intake valves a bit as well. That is the primary reason to use it anyway (for non FSI engines) and means the efficiency increases a little.
