Can Any one help? Just had new front brakes fitted, rear brakes are fine. During a long journey my brake warning light came on (yellow). No problems with brakes, any advise on how to stop the warning coming on? Many thanks.

Sounds like whoever has changed the front pads has managed to snap the wear indicator plug - it's easily done but should be fixed properly as soon as possible to avoid corroding the wires.

Cheers,

Mike

Hi and welcome to the A2oc.

The front passenger side brake pads have a wear indicator built-in. Its possible the cable connector was not pushed fully home when the pads were changed.
Its not uncommon for the connector or wiring to be damaged by the mechanic if they are not used to working on A2's - something to be aware if you take it back to the garage and ask them to sort out the warning lamp problem

Cheers Spike
