I have a slightly buckled 17" (Audi) wheel.
Anyone had this happen before.

Never hit anything just some of my local roads are somewhat bumpy (Actually really bumpy):(

I am sure I have read about this happening before but I cant find anything in the past posts about it.

Cheers

Yes I had this problem on an A2 TDI SPORT, with 10k on the clock when I purchased it. Luckily ( or unluckily ) I had a puncture in the first 2 weeks. The local tyre fitter warned me before he inspected the wheel about buckling. Due to the very low profile nature of the tyres. His concern was justified both front wheels were very badly buckled. Cutting a long story short I had new wheels and new break discs fitted under warranty. My advice is stay away from all the pot holes as best you possibly can.

so the 17" alloys are the 9 spoke wheels not the 6 spoke wheels found on the tdi se is that right!!

Can't believe they buckle so easily is this true for most alloys?

Thats right Andy.
The 17" rims are of the 9 spoke flavour.
16" rims come in 6 spoke (standard) or optional 5 spoke design.

I don't know if it's just Audi having this much trouble with buckling. My old Punto buckled an alloy after going down a very deep pot-hole a couple of years back - most annoying.

Don't drink drive! Not only is it socially unaceptable, it also harms A2's.
Was a 1.4SE petrol. http://www.audi-a2.co.uk/uk14.htm http://www.audi-a2.co.uk/safety.htm
New A2 - Ebony Black, Red Leather, CC, Symphony + all the previous options we had.

Okay, you are shifting down the road and this pothole just jumps up and bites your nice shiny alloys.

What do you do? Do you swear, cry or fight.

Well I did the first and the last and as a result of hitting a hole that was four feet by three feet and almost four inches deep, I wrote to the local council.

They shifted it on to the next local council, who shifted it on to Thames Water who shifted on to their contractors.

Well after three months, they have finally paid up for their negligence. And paid up big time.

They have coughed up for everything that I asked for a paid out £1535 as a result, so if you hit a pothole that was not marked, get your digital camera out and start writing some letters.. me thinks one bent alloy wheel deserves four new counsins
