I've just realised that although I have posted threads all over the forum as I have been working on this project, I haven't actually posted it here in the Projects section. Duh!

Anyway, this all started back on November, when I bought my A2 from an ad on facebook marketplace.

It's a 1.4 petrol, with OSS and Aircon. The "Bugsy" name comes from the reg plate, and is what the previous owner called it.

It's blue. Not Silver.

The price was right, £850, which included an mot (just needed brakes).

There were ISSUES though.

So far, with the help of this forum & YouTube, I've managed to:
Fix the blower motor : stuck motor and controls playing up
No heat : stuck flap & controls again
Petrol cap : stuck
Partially unplugged CCCU
Hidden tracking device! (Yes, really).
Locking wheel nuts: no key!
Still to do:
O2 sensor : needs fitting (done)
New battery: on it's way (done)
Driver's door window intermittent issues: replacement motor needs fitting
Broken Air vent: replace (got one)
Broken cup holder: replace (got one)
Fix funny noise: wheel bearing (booked)
Get remote locking working.

I've had the dash in pieces, had the floor up and got strange looks from the neighbours when I removed the bonnet (as you do).

I've had a ball. It's been years since I last did any of this. (I did a LOT of this)

Got my car-mojo back

The amount of help I've had from this forum has been incredible - thanks, Guys!

What a cool picture! Glad you've had fun so far, relatively low list of jobs but enough to get the bug! What is the colour name?
The photo was at South Gare, near Redcar, a narrow spit of land at the mouth of the Tees.
Just before the weather turned..
If I'd timed it differently, there would have been a huge ship in the background..

No idea what the colour is called.. Looks bluer in the photo than in the flesh.
I'll have to find out..

Latest update:
Battery replaced (eBay. £60, I fitted it) "Tayna" brand.
O2 sensor (£20ish, eBay, +£20 fitting)
Alternator regulator, (£18, eBay +£50 fitting)
(the charging light was coming on, and I had two instances of power steering failure)
Wheel bearing getting replaced next week, Estimate is £80

Update: osf wheel bearing replaced. £80 all-in. The noise has gone!
Next: I found a local mobile Auto lock specialist who seems to know what he's talking about. With a bit of luck, I will have remote locking by next week..
I need to fit a dash vent and a cup holder, and then it's onto the drivers door window..

Nasty rumbling, rising in pitch with speed. It was getting louder, too. I've had knackered wheel bearings on other cars in the past.

I've just fixed the broken air vent on the far right. Transplanted the horizontal vents from a spare unit into the car. I have documented it elsewhere on the forum.
