Cable to the engine bay

Is there an easy way to route an electric cable from drivers footwell to the engine bay on a LHD car?

there's a grommet above the cable for the flap release. It comes out behind the arch liner.

I needed to remove the front left plastic protection to get to the grommet from the outside. I was not able to push the cable from inside out, due to sound insulation and very limited space. With plastic removed it was easy...

I will probably get a plastic housing for the cable, just to be sure it will not be damaged...
