Cambelt and tyres

Anybody know how much cambelt only service at 60k should cost? And what about tyres, have been quoted £360 4 175/60 R15 V.

Fitting is extra, but should cost between £5 and £7.50 to fit each tyre (including valves and balancing). Shop around and offer cash for the £5 target. [24]

Thanks for that. I went to my local tyre place armed with this information and have managed to get the 4 Godyear for £196 all in.

Probably means I will be able to afford the £301 Audi main dealers want to do the Cambelt.

The £1 on the £300 just that final bit of insult!

Compared to the cost of changing the cambelt on my Volvo V70 turbo, i.e. more complicated due to lack of space,that is expensive. We should have a competition to find the most reasonable charge for ANYTHING done by Audi dealers.

Well done Alex getting 4 Goodyear tyres supplied, fitted and balanced for £196.

Most tyre fitting centres (including the big chains) charge way too much for tyres as most motorists don't even get 3 quotes. They just sit back waiting for easy pickings to come along. [24]
