Cambelt replacement - East London area (who to use?)

My Brother needs the cambelt done on his 1.6 FSI. I have told him to do the water pump at the same time but who should he use?

Audi are only 100m away so great for convenience but they charge £429 for just the cambelt.

Is there anyone else worth using?
He also needs an MOT and a engine mgnt light looked at. Have done a scan and its an air leak of some sorts as the following codes came up.
3 Faults Found:
17912 - Intake Air System: Leak Detected
P1504 - 35-00 - -
17559 - Long Term Fuel Trim Additive Air; Bank 1; Range 1: System too Lean
P1151 - 35-00 - -
16891 - Idle Control System RPM: Higher than Expected.
P0507 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
Readiness: 0000 0001

Problem is i`ve had a look around and can`t see any cracked or split hoses.

Last time I enquired about servicing in East London and you guys put me in touch with the Legendary SARGE who now services my brother and my cars but I`m guessing the cambelt is a bit more of a specialist job??

Thanks in advance.

I use russel for my annual service. They are good independent at Kingsbury, expanded to a larger place in the last couple of years so they must have got a good traction of growing customer base. Will be far for you. Why not call 4rings? They service that side of the city and has had a good reputations.

Audi charges a standard £429 for cambelt change for anything up to 2L. This is stated on their website as fixed price (it was £399 last year, not sure when they raised it). Water pump is additional. My cambelt is also due for age reason but I inspected it and the belt looks spanking with almost no signs of cracking or even wear, pulleys also look brilliant! So I might go to Russell for cambelt this or next year.

Thanks Humps.
I wasn't sure if 4 rings did cambelts. Might give them a call.

4rings do pretty much everything. They did my cousin's Tdi intercooler last year - very good work and very competitive pricing.

Do you use them or have you just heard good things about them?

Any idea on the price for the cambelt and waterpump?

Cost me about £400 flat or just under last year with all bits n bobs replaced including alternator belt. I sat and watched the a lad work on the car through the window (big lad with huge hands TOP BLOKE) i have no doubt they are the real deal after that. My car was on a ramp up / down up / down and at all times during the work you could eat off the floor beneath. And then they went and washed - Vacumed the car! Pro's in every sense of the word - also just been on their site and they are running 10% off all cambelt changes up to 2Lt cars.
