Cambelt tools needed?

I bought a 'Laser Tools Two Pin Wrench VAG Cambelt Tension 3387/T10020 576' from ebay for the tensioner on my BHC engine, absolute rubbish! the tiny prongs bend easily and come out! Luckily there's a hole for an allen key to do exactly the same job.

To be honest you only need the two pronged tool to hold the two cam pulleys in place, the crank pulley has a mark on it to line up once the tool has locked the two cam pulleys. I can send you it if required?

Thanks for the offer but if that is all that is needed then I may just get a cheap version of that part as I do not know when I will get the weather to do the cambelt change as I will be doing it outside on the drive :( :( :(

That’s exactly what I did two Thursdays ago, it was cold to say the least.

When you pay for the manual on erwin does it download the whole thing or do you have to print the pages you require ?

I assume you are referring to the ethical purchase of ElsaWin mentioned by Bret on page 1. I have not used this route but understand as the validity period is short, say a day, it makes sense to grab print as much as you can while you can. Of course there is the possibility of unethical purchase on eBay but the club cannot seen to condone this route.
