A quick update on my quest to fit a cd changer to my A2. I got my Panasonic DP 9060 from the loft (it was previously fitted, very easily, to my Leon).

Tried slotting the changer into the glovebox-wouldn't fit due to the slop of the box. Thought about under the seat but I don't want to foul the height mechanism or anyone sitting on the rear seats.

Tried the boot next. The changer would sit vertically against the side because it is just too tall and the support for the false floor prevents it from being stood up (and I didn't want it to lie down as that would take up room/the unit would get knocked.

Lastly tried in the battery compartment-no room to move anything around and fit it in there.

So not a successful time. Back to the drawing board-either I leave it or try and find a smaller unit-the Blaupunkt DIN 5 cd changer would fit nicely in the space for the sat nav CD drive in the boot, but I have a feeling it wouldn't be compatible with the Concert II (but I will ask the various interface lead company's on that one). Or I would have to change the Concert II for a Blaupunkt headunit, but that means replacing/fitting two items which is both costly and no doubt frustrating!.
