Central Locking problem

Last Feb (03) I bought a Y plate 1.4Tdi. I had the central locking set to lock all doors at 10Mph and unlock all the doors (so the engineer at Stoke Audi said) when the key is removed from the ignition. The problem that I have is that randomly (as far as I can tell), only the drivers door unlocks. Other times all of the doors unlock fine.

I have been trying to get this problem sorted since March last year, but every time it goes in, they say they could not find anything wrong.

Eventually they replaced the control unit for the central locking. Still happening though.

Has anyone else had this problem, or is this strange behaviour normal for the locks when programmed in this way?

Any help would be much appreciated as the warranty runs out in July.

Thanks
Dave

Purchased Sept 2004 A2 1.6 FSI SE Ebony Black (I am only telling you the colour because it looks fantastic......also red leather seats)- 1308 miles only - Central Locking.....
On 3 occasions when leaving the car and using the central locking button on the key the front door windows have opened about 60 mm. Strange ?? Is there something I have missed in the drivers handbook ??

No. If you lock the car using the remote and hold for more then 5 seconds then the windows will close if they are open. If you are unlocking the car and press remote button for more than five seconds then the windows will open.

Don't have the 10mph auto-locking option myself, but I do know that if I flick the manual switch to lock all the doors, when you come to get out it's only the driver's door that unlocks. You have to flick the switch again to unlock all the others. I understood this to be normal; i.e. the fault is that ALL of your doors unlock occasionally - and that should be what your dealer's looking for.
