Changing G263 Evaporator outlet temperature sender without removing the dash

So, the Aircon packed in during the summer and the g263 fault couldn't be cleared, finally got around to taking on this job today. I removed the flap motor as these instructions show, even with that out it's a fiddle. Took around 3 awkward hours all told. Fault code gone. Now, will the AC blow cold on hot days and the webasto fire up in the morning???
Great work, hvac stuff is hard patient work in the little a2 footwells

I am about to embark on freeing up my V70 flap, matron, and while I'm there it makes sense to change the G263 sensor - although it appears to work currently. The car was standing for 3 years, and the air will not direct away to footwell or from the vents pointing to a siezed V70 motor. Its a RHD car, so I wonder if anyone has a part number for the sensor, as I would like to buy new if still available. Thanks!

Evening,

I’m quite sure the G263 sensor is a generic VAG part. Try searching for 6Q0907543A as I recall this is what I purchased for the Project OEM A2 a few years ago.

Kind regards,

Tom

Thankyou Sir! I am looking for a new V70 motor too, but EBay sell good used ones.

Elsewhere on this forum, 6Q0907543D is listed. I will check out to see if they are different :)

I can confirm that the suffix A or D is the same part. Autodoc are doing a Hella one for £30 including postage to the UK and a couple of squids cheaper on EBay for a new part inc postage in the UK
