Changing oil

Hi people

Gonna service my A2 and just wondered how much new oil should be put in once the old stuff is drained and filter replaced??

Hi John
It takes approx 4.2 L of oil. I usually put 4L in, then fire up the engine to circulate the oil. Its never happened to me but keep an eye on the oil pressure light and switch the engine off immediately if it does not go out straight away. Switch off after a few minutes and let it stand before topping up to the high level on the dipstick.

I can never fill more than 4L until the level has reached the top of the dipstick so be careful.
BHC engine though.
