Chipping A2 TDI 75hp

Hi

I bought a chip from celox_performance on ebay, but the instructions that came with it were pants! I'm no engineer, and I can't work out where it's supposed to go.

The question I have is: is this chip box recommended for the A2 TDI, and if so, does anyone have a pic they can send me to show where it's fitted on the 1.4 TDI 75hp? It's a 2002 if that helps!

stealth also do chip/ remap for A2 108bhp call on tuesday ask for vince he will give you a price for the A2

I've had a few remaps/plug in chips over the years and would reccommend Stealth or Jabba for a rolling road remap or Superchips or CCC tech for the chip, remaps are usually more expensive as they take longer as they are done to the specific car

Mine came out at;
109.6 bhp at 3533 rpm
256.1 nm of torque at 2595 rpm
max speed 192.1 kmh (119.316 mph)
Rolling Road test after re-map
Apparently they've had 111 out of some but each car is different.
 
I'm thinking of having my 75 Sport chipped with Simon Coe/CCC Tech and was wondering if many members had any comments /experience with this upgrade? What difference does it make in real world driving?

I'd have it done mainly to improve the low down torque to make the car more laid back to drive.

But I am concerned about:

Increase in fuel comsumption. The CCC tech data suggests the 75 tdi does 54.7 mpg as standard improving to 58.8 at 56mph after chipping. Seems a reasonable % improvement, but I get 78mpg + at that steady speed already!Fuel consumption will obviously take a big hit if I were to use the extra power, but most of my driving is cruising at steady motorway speed on a commute, so would I realistically see a difference with that style of driving?

Extra stress on the engine, gearbox/clutch. Will extra burnt fuel/emissions affect the catalytic converter? I intend keeping the car for the long term, will it reduce longevity?

40% increase in BHP = 40% increase in insurance premium!

CCC Tech did Tanks remap over 2 years ago now and the longevity of the engine seems to be a non-issue.

I can attest to his professionalism and have been very pleased with the results of his work.

Simon did my Sharan a couple of years back and again no issues, certainly no drop in fuel consumption.

With a chipped car the power delivery is changed some what, you find that driving style does change too, so sometimes you will see an improved mpg figure as you short shift due to increased torque, lower revs will give better mpg.
 
Dan: i'm another victim....pays to check A2OC before hitting the buy button

i too have a TDi75.. did you get any results?
