Christmas tree and and no rev counter

I have bought a new to me a2 and randomly I am getting a fault where by the cars engine hiccups something stops then the dash lights up with loads of warnings, the check oil and exclamation along with lots of the other lights. If I restart the car it goes away, has anyone had this issue 1.4 petrol

check the earth points at the base of the a-pillars on both sides. Then check the battery, then get teh codes read.

Do you know what earths to these? So I could focus on one side if I know the problem is there
