Cleaning doorcards, how to?

What's the best stuff to use for cleaning/washing the doorcards? Are they finished in the same rubbery plastic as everything else?
I got some sun cream on my doorcards at the weekend, hadn't noticed till earlier. Not a lot, just where it's rubbed off of arms

Thanks :)

they are cloth glued to fibre-reinforced plastic on the lower sections; the middle is backed plastic, as is the top. So don't rub too hard, or you'll remove part of the surface!

I've found the old way is the best - a damp dishcloth (or microfibre) and a bit of soapy water.

When the worst of the dirt/stain is off, just use warm water alone and press dry with a towel.

Cheers,

Mike

PS, try to dab not rub.

I usuually use either a 'massarge' sponge as sold at Boots (one side is a rougher and bobbly sponge), or for more tricky marks, I gently use a nail brush and soap. Another alternative is the Flash magic sponges, these wear down quickly, but do work, just dont apply any more pressure than needed.

If the marks are on the fabric part, i just use the normal seat cleaner. Either Turtle Wax Interior Once (I think thats its name) or just been using the Autoglym one that comes in a kit with a good tough sponge, and 2 magic sponges, so may be the best one to get to clean all the interior. I also found it worked very well!

My upper door cards were covered in a whitish residue behind the handle, I used Poorboys Natural look dressing to clean and protect the door card, it leaves a nice matt finish too..

For the fabric part of the doorcards in my former A2 with beige interior, I used a steam cleaner with great results to remove some "dying halos" and other stains.
For the upper "rubbery" plastic part, I don't know, but I think i would use a soft brush with some soap and water, but not a flood !
