Hi Meg
Autoglym do one for dash boards I have all their products and they clean and smell brill. My Audi A2 TDI SE is Metalic Ebony Black and shows all the dirt. I have never had a black car before it soon gets dirty but I don't mind cleaning it. Auto Glym have a good range that clean everything in Halfords they have buy 2 get one free think it is still on. They do everything even one for bird droppings on your windowscreen.
Happy cleaning
Susan

What kind of dirt do you have on the dash? Mine is just dust, I used the Flash DustMaster and the other brand with a green handle. Now I just use Flash all purpose wipes, which leaves a pleseant lemon smell. There is no need to use special products for Dashboard (or the rest of the interior, TBH). I use the wipe (and the dustmaster) on my plasma tv and moulded polycarbonate speakers at home and there isn't a single scratch mark. Works very well and not expensive. It wipes off light finger marks very well.

But if you have heavier dirt, damp kitchen towel to soften and absorb first. Oily stuff, you would want tissue from McD as they suck grease like nothing else!

You can try the AG products Pagan mentions, I think its called vinyl and rubber care? For the dash and door cards, I just use a mild detergent with warm water and a clean and well wrung out microfibre cloth. Autoglym Interior shampoo is quite good for spot cleaning stubborn marks like the foot marks you get on the door pockets. I find that the textured finish doesnt respond well to some of the dash cleaners you will find on the autoshop shelves. Most Audis are like this I think.

I would and never use a dash clean as it will make your dash shiny (NOT GOOD) the sun beams in and reflects back on to the screen thus redusing visability. I as Murdo just use damp clean cloth and a warm bucket of water then leave to dry simple as! and cheap as chips lol

I am partial to Autoglym Rubber & Vinyl cleaner too - just note though, if you leave it for any more than a few seconds before rubbing away, it'll leave a shiney dash. Spray onto the cloth first and then wipe over the dash and keep wiping until the cloth is dry and the dash is clean.

If you spray onto the dash direct, there's a danger of overspray onto the screen and it's a sod to get off - leaves funny marks on the glass.

Cheers,

Mike

I use the matt dash wipes you can get in halfords etc. Have found the Amor All ones the best I think...you can use them on all interior plastics and they dry without streaks and with a matt finish of course!
