Clutch or gearbox

On the Fsi, the clutch peddle is very springy at the bottom (feels like spongy) and its hard to get into gear sometimes, just wondering if its clutch or gearbox, the clutch height is about halfway of the travel of pedal.

On my TDI I would bleed the slave cylinder first. Don’t know if FSi has the same arrangement.

Just on another note Phil, I did change the wishbone whilst on car,did it with a big g clamp and lots of grease wobbling the new one in, but was not easy

That’s quite an achievement. I couldn’t even get the wish bones off the consoles. My bolts were seized solid.
