Concert II - "Error 2" Displayed - What does this mean?

Just returned from 2 weeks hols to find my stereo won't do anthing other than display a message "Error 2". It was working fine before I parked it up a few weeks ago.

Google turns up no answers, nor does the handbook/radio user guide.

Any ideas?

Ian

Do you have a changer linked to the headunit?

If so (or even if you've just the single slot), eject any discs there and then try again.

This is an error thrown up mostly by dirty read lenses or dirty/badly burned discs.

Try an original disc in there as well.

HTH,

Mike

Yup there's a changer.. All orig discs in there - tried ejecting cartridge TNA. No disc in the single slot. Will try again tomorrow :)

There are a number of TT owners who have experienced this same fault - most of them ended up getting the changer changed under warranty, or if out of warranty, ditching it in favour of an iPod or similar.

Best of luck,

Mike

I'm out of warranty and find I occasionally get this fault and the one where the HU lights come on but nothing happens, pulling the radio fuse seems to work a treat for me!!

Had a call later in the day from the dealer, they now want to run a diagnostic first as they've become less certain of the issue.

Strange thing is, I've tried to get it to work about 20 times today and it worked twice..

Persevere with them, let them run their tests and then just insist on them changing both the HU and the changer!

You've paid through the nose for a warranty so you might as well use it.

Cheers,

Mike

HU changed today - all back working again.

Queried them over the warranty on the new stereo.. in case the bizarre error reoccurs; was told it's on record and it has 2 years of cover... should do me :)
