Congestion Charge

I seem to remember reading somewhere that cars with emissions <120g/km (including the A2 TDI) are exempt from the London congestion charges. Right or wrong??

My thoughts exactly, a secondhand congestion charge exempt car with a prestigious badge should slow depreciation for those of us in the south.

I see from these guidelines that the car has to be <120g/km and Euro iV.

Does that mean all tdi's qualify or is it just the 90 which is euro iv?

Tis a good point, the wording is a bit ambiguous

"Cars which emit up to 120g/km CO2 and are Euro IV (Equivalent to VED Bands A & B) - 100% discount"

us 75ers may get it on the "equivalent to bands A&B" bit

Euro 4 TDI
Euro 4 compliance was intoduced for all TDI models manufactured from late 2003 onwards (Model year 2004). A quick way to tell if an A2 TDI is Euro 4
compliant is to look at the grill. The new style ribbed grill is fitted to model
year 2004 and later. Just beware of older cars retrofitted with the newer
style grill!

But don't right off newer cars retrofitted with the older style grill! The black mirror finish looks far better in my opinion! But everyone to the own taste....

That's why Tank is now wearing the old nose!

Cheers,

Hi Guys,

If any of you would like to swap your new-style (ribbed) grille for my Early-type (smooth) grille, drop me a PM!

I would have done so but my A2 has already had the nose job.
