You did understand my question about the BATTERY earth lead to the chassis? If so tell me where it is.

I see . No I didn’t check or remove the battery earth in the boot, I’ll have a proper look at the weekend to check. It does crank the engine well in cold weather, so I assumed that this would not happen if that lead was starting to break dow.
