OK the Front Wishbone bushes at rear attached to Consuls (ally hoola hoops if you will). Anybody changed these yet?

Understand that Polo, Fabia and Ibiza all struggel with degradation of these bushes and some fit Cupra ones with Polyflex fronts.

Now is 1.2 TDI same as otehr A2's in this department?

According to ETKA the bush is unique to the 1.2 tdi and not replaceable so you may need to buy the console assembly.
If you have not used it before, click on the Audi logo, select A2 then the model year. The console is at the end of the engine section under 'mounting parts for engine and transmission'

I looked at these on my 1.4 petrol and they're a different design to the Polo and don't suffer the same problems. The Polo's bushes only connect the to the wishbone via two points (four on later improved ones) whereas the A2 utilises a solid doughnut :)
However, the front bushes were very worn and replacing them has made improved things no end :)
