Well, humpy came under the knife of Dr. Skipton yesterday and had some surgery done to him - well facelift actually. :D
I will tell all on the forum but let you think a while - any guesses?
Oh, and don't expect any big clues from the good Doctor.
It's a Patient-Doctor thing! ;)

I'll post pics soon!

i think we need a clue---just a couple of words to steer us in the right direction?
nice one tony see you at Adi?

I'd guess either
smooth front grille replaced for the slatted one (or visa versa)
or
Audi TT flat-bottomed steering wheel

hi guys i think my post has a really big clue in it---but i may be wrong!

A big clue indeed, although I missed it to begin with thinking 'facelift' had something to do with the front of the car! DOH! A very nice mod indeed, and if I recall discussion with Mike correctly, its a quite labourious and complex job to install. Enjoy!

I'll let Tony spill the beans in its entirety, but the interior facelift ( ;) ) has certainly transformed the car and fitting wasn't as bad as you make out Murdi, as the full version of what is possible wasn't done! (Oooh, so cryptic!).

Cheers,

Mike

DA DAAA!!!

Nice work guys, some bang on! ;)
Here it is then - humpy has been enhanced - he has never "felt" so good to hold. :D
Next mod already under way - sound system.

Thanx again Mike - good job.
See you all at ADI.
Rgds.

Looks really good Tony.

I was tempted myself a while back, but the wheels on ebay kept escalating in value; beyond what I wanted to pay. I shelved the idea in the short term, and with a new mouth to feed shortly; perhaps the long term too.

Still more than happy with the S-line wheel that I have though.

Cheers,

Darren

Looks fabby! I am now inspired as I didnt know this could be had without the multi function gubbins which I was referring to in the earlier post ref. complexity of installation. Defo on my wish list now, my A3 has the flat bottom style wheel and it is very comfortable in the hand. Well done Tony - very jealous!! :D

Darren, you know, that wheel in your car with the perf finish is a stunner and i was looking for a similar one when i stumbled across the flat bottom wheel. I think 3 spoke is def the way to go in the A2.
Thanx for the comments all.
