Just bought a 54 plate 1.4 SE (Dolphin Grey) from Stoke Audi. Only 4800 miles on the clock. Owned by a 80+ year old man. His son and daughter-in-law found it in his garage. They thought he had sold it to the dealer 2 years earlier as he was no longer driving. I guess he forgot it was there !!!??!!

Wow!!! 4800 miles. Thats just amazing. If its been garaged and serviced correctly it must be like a new car. You may well have the lowest mileage example, the nearest to that I can recall on sale over the last year was around 12k. :D

Congratulations on a great find. :) However I would be concerned about the car sitting around for at least two years - if you haven't done so already, make sure you change all the fluids & oil. I would also consider changing the tyres as they are likely to have deflated and been damaged whilst sitting around; after five years the rubber will have also dried out somewhat. Just a thought.

I don't think I have done too badly. Stoke Audi have been great. After talking to Chris in the service department prior to buying the car they agreed to replace the cambelt (s), longlife service and brake fluid service. It obviously gets MOT etc etc. It had superficial marks on the body which are being sorted, but no painting necessary.

It seems like a great car, and should look great after the full Audi prep. treatment. In addition I got the 2 years warranty based on the used car offer Audi were doing over the last couple of weeks.

Keeping my fingers crossed.

Well done in finding the A2. There was I thinking my 2002 TDi with just 7,000 miles might be the lowest mileage A2. It has never been out in the rain though and stays in heated garage all winter. Cars belonging to elderly men do crop up. My local garage has, for about £18K, an 01 plate Jag sports convertible (is it XK8?) with the V8 engine, white leather, unmarked, that has been driven 2,800 miles only and has a large and expensive Jag service history, serviced every year. The local owner died recently leaving this tempting car and his XJ8.

I bet u cant wait to blow the cobwebs out of that LOL !!!

A Friend of mine recently phoned me and asked me if i would have a look at the security on hers mums house for insurance purposes as the house was going to be empty for a long time her mum had lost her marbles , she had become a little senile and was put in a home ......

When her daughter went to check out the house she dicovered a Brand New Proton Gen2 in the garage it had less than a 100 miles on the clock she did'nt even no her Mum had purchased it thinking she must have bought it without thinking straight she found the paperwork for it and realised the mum had purchased it 6 months earlier .....

She contacted the garage where she got the car from and explained the mums situation and the Garage agreed to take the car back .....Amazing....:)

Well Done on your Amazing Find ...

makes mine seem high mileage

I thought our Sep 2002 FSi was low at just breaking 12K last month.

Although based on the fact we really love using it on a nice sunny day with the open sky opened it could have a quiet year
