Cracked Side Skirt

I noticed a crack at the point where the plastic side skirt flares out slightly where it meets the front wheel arch. Is this a stress fracture. The car does not look like it has been hit.

Anyone experienced a similar fault? The car is 8 years old, but I cannot see why this should happen.

The original jack might have slipped when lifting the car for a tire change with obvious chance of damaging the side skirt. I think the original jack is dangerous and a piece of crap.

Mine fell of the jack and did the same thing,
cant get the blasted jacking point cover back on now

It is under £40 for a new sill if you want to replace it
